Panel 1: As he walks down the street looking for people to agree how terrible it is that Elly will show up and nag him to death and embarrass him forever at the dance, Michael is betrayed by Gordon when he tells him "It won't be so bad if your Mom chaperones our party, Mike."
Panel 2: Brian tags in and tells Mike that his mom is an okay woman he likes.
Panel 3: When Gordo tells Mike that Elly is the neatest mom he knows, he gets on the Delicate Genius's last nerve.
Panel 4: Michael yells at them that they only think his Mom is OK because she isn't their Mom.
Summary: Today's Lynnecdote is a whiny screed about how it seemed that Mrs Ridgway got along with every kid in the neighbourhood but Lindy herself; this leads into a passive-aggressive bitchfest about how cruel it was and unfair that her mother never admitted that Lindy should do whatever she wanted and avoid doing things that bored her.
