Today's strip reminds us that Mike really doesn't much like to hand notes home from school.
(Strip Number 953, Original Publication Date, 3 October 1985)
Panel 1: When Mike gets home, Elly tells him that Brian's mom told her about how his school is asking parents to volunteer as chaperones for the Halloween party.
Panel 2: She then makes that stupid-ass pleading gesture when she asks him why he never brings notes home from school.
Panel 3: He tells her that he does so bring notes home from school.
Panel 4: When he produces a wadded-up piece of paper from his pocket and tells her she just never reads them, she gets all rage-faced.
Summary: This, I should think, is what REALLY gets her to dress up like Naggo the Clown and invade his space: she's punishing him for wanting time away from her. Also, we're being invited to creep on Aaron because he didn't want his friends to be fodder for her strip.
