(Strip Number 6687, Original Publication Date, 22 September 1985)
Panel 1: We find ourselves watching Lizzie try to explain to Mike that he shouldn't monopolize playing with Farley.
Panel 2: Our boy sets the tone for the strip by asking what she's complaining about. After all, she's got half of the dog. So WHAT if it's not the part with the face?
Panel 3: The strip most people will see starts at bedtime with Mike declaring that since Lizzie had Farley two nights in a row, he gets to have the dog in his room tonight.
Panel 4: Lizzie tells the back of Mike's stupid, selfish head that that was last week.
Panel 5: Mike ignores Lizzie and gets Farley into his room.
Panel 6: Once again, Lizzie tells him that he's being unfair because he knows that this is really her night.
Panel 7: Mike signals his utter disregard for anything that gets in the way of his doing what he wants by sticking his tongue out at her.
Panel 8: Flushed with triumph over the interloper who ruins his life by suggesting that he actually share like he's a lower life form, Mike turns off the light.
Panel 9: Since Mikey-Boy can't sleep because Farley's snoring is too loud, I'd say that his victory is on the short-lived side.
Summary: As we'll see this upcoming February when he talks his way into sleeping in Lizzie's bedroom after trying to scare her, Michael never seems to remember that he should think about what the results of his actions will be before he behaves like a jerk to people. Then again, he still to this day never remembers that bad things happen to other people or that other people's feelings actually matter because he's a solipsistic jerkwad.
