Panel 1: As they get ready for bed, John asks Elly if the Enjo family has settled in okay. She says "I guess so."
Panel 2: She then tells him odd it all feels owing to her having been in that house many times.
Panel 3: Despite what she thought-bubbled last Saturday, it still feels very odd sitting in a familiar place drinking coffee with a different person.
Panel 4: John smiles and tells her that Connie will forgive her.
Summary: As we might have guessed, Elly's wish that nothing had changed and Connie hasn't 'dumped' her is as strong as Mike's need to have Lawrence around whenever he wants him is. She's just better at lying to herself about it and is thus surprised when it's pointed out to her.
