(Strip Number 4518, Original Publication Date, 29 August 1985)
Panel 1: We find Miss Lyon pointing to a hanger and shelf labeled "Elizabeth" as she explains to Lizzie that each of her students gets his or her own shelf and hanger.
Panel 2: She then points to the name tag pinned to Lizzie's shirt and explains that it's so they know who's who.
Panel 3: As Elly leaves, Miss Lyon divides the class by the color of the tags they're wearing.
Panel 4: As she leaves for work, Elly is in despair at her baby's having joined "THE SYSTEM" because this world in which babies are regimented fills her with despair.
Summary: This, I should think, proves my point about Elly never being happy about anything. She's not happy when the kids are at home because their need for attention destroys her freedom of expression and she's not happy when they're at school because their freedom of expression is being destroyed by the Man. Well, that and the fact that evil peer pressure makes her BABY want to grow up before her time and so on and so forth.
