Today's strip is the one in which Connie tells Elly that rather than watch Ted see with other women, she'd rather leave town.

(Strip Number 904, Original Publication Date, 31 July 1985)

Panel 1: Connie tells Elly that Ted says that he feels confined and wants to date someone else for a change.

Panel 2: She then says that she couldn't take it if she saw him with another woman.

Panel 3: Elly tells that that's going to happen before asking if he expects her to move.

Panel 4: When Connie tells her that she put her house up for sale, Elly is taken aback.

Summary: The reason is that Elly probably thinks that Ted commanded Connie to do just that. It isn't in her to give Ted the benefit of the doubt because he doesn't live in fear of her rages like he's meant to.
