(Strip Number 883, Original Publication Date, 3 July 1985)
Panel 1: Now that she's completed it, Elly asks John to read her article for the Valley Voice.
Panel 2: Said article's theme is how children are increasingly turning to books as their primary source of entertainment.
Panel 3: He tells her that it's a nice article. She asks where Mike and Lizzie are.
Panel 4: When he says that they're watching television, she looks like she got punched in the gut.
Summary: I'm not a fan of children passively watching the box myself. That being said, I don't blame the kids or network television for the problem. The source of the problem is a shrieking irritant who tells the children to find SOMETHING to do that doesn't require her to supervise them lest they make her brain atrophy.
