Panel 7: Mike dumps out the last of the yarn.
Panel 8: As John tries mowing the lawn, all the loose strands of yarn the kids dumped on to the ground get tangled around the blade of the lawnmower and cause it to seize up with an audible KAPRRUNNNNNG!!!
Summary: Any sort of Panel 9 would lead to the kids at LEAST getting sent to bed without supper and the book thrown out for complicating the lives of two improvident nitbrains who can't be bothered supervising their dull-witted children.
