Panel 1: Anne suggests that while they wait for the laundry to dry that she and Elly should have an iced tea. Elly is in agreement.
Panel 2: As they sit on their deck chairs with the pitcher of tea on a table between them, Anne waxes poetic about how great suburbia is as it has enjoyable things like fresh-cut lawns, deck chairs, warm patios and flowers in bloom.
Panel 3: Her train of thought is derailed when an errant beach ball slams into the table where they put the iced tea and splashes iced tea onto them.
Panel 4: As Elly scowls because she got soaked, Annie adds "kids" to the list of things that are in suburbs.
Summary: We're going to see just how horrible children are in a week or so. This is because Richard deliberately humiliates John by DEMANDING to have his own potty and getting the fool held on a breaking-and-entering beef.
