(Strip Number 4500, Original Publication Date, 23 May 1985)
Panel 1: Upon returning home from the office, John pokes his head into the kitchen and asks Elly what's for supper that night.
Panel 2: She tells him that she's making something from the celebrity diet cookbook she borrowed from Annie.
Panel 3: She then points out that all the recipes are by famous people.
Panel 4: An unimpressed John asks if the thing is called "Suffer With The Stars."
Summary: What we have here is just another example of the old sitcom stereotype about how bland and unrewarding diet food is. What we never get is Elly being pleasantly surprised that meals that don't make her gain her super-crazy, no-way, fake and impossible ten pounds taste great.
