(Strip Number 7027, Original Publication Date, 12 May 1985)
Panel 1: We start things off with a smiling Elly getting all happy to see her Farley Dog.
Panel 2: When she tells her Poochie-Pie to come to Mommy, you sort of guess how things will end: with her trying to cover her ass because someone discovers something that isn't really a problem.
Panel 3: As we see Elly get all friendly and up-beat as she asks Farley how he is, we're about to see something that isn't really worthy of the panicky shrieking the strip ends on.
Panel 4: That's because what we see is the oh-so-conventional thing of a woman talking baby talk to a dog like so very many people out there. Were Coffee Talk still a thing, people would tell Lynn that she has a camera in their house before comparing Farley to their woofie-wuffers.
Panel 5: She then hugs her wuffkins, asks her woogie-woofkins how he is and if he's her puppers.
Panel 6: Sensing a disturbance in the Force, she starts to trail off and look over her shoulder.
Panel 7: Her eyes go into a deer-in-the-headlights panicked stare when she hears a clicking noise in the background.
Panel 8: She goes into a full-on, goggle-eyed, triangle-mouthed panic as she watches a delighted Mike listen to a recording of her cuddle session.
Panel 9: Since she's terrified that the dark secret I alluded to will come out, Panicky Idjit Elly chases Michael down and asks him how much does he want for THAT TAPE?!!
Summary: The reason for her panic is that the Lynnsight has Our Hero talk about how she made fun of people for doing in public what she says she does in private. Insert comment about how no one who does this at all smugly consigns an innocent animal to Bullettothehead Farm out of a need to give an ex the middle finger.
