Living National Treasure Lynn Johnston.

There's a new press release on Lynn's homepage; it would appear that the National Archive of Canada added three thousand or so more of her drawings to its collection.

OTTAWA — For Better or For Worse?

For Lynn Johnston fans and Library and Archives Canada, it’s definitely the former.

Archives Canada has added more than 3,000 drawings, 200 watercolours and other material, including textual records and photographs, by Johnston.

Mary-Margaret Johnston-Miller, a documentary art archivist with Archives Canada, said the Johnston fond — something from one creator as opposed to a collection from different origins — is particularly significant because of Johnston’s reputation as a cartoonist.
