Fatuous ape John thinks wearing Big Bird slippers is against his alleged dignity.

Panel 1: We find John back at the clinic being congratulated by his staff for getting the cast off.
Panel 2: Jean says that they all know that he's going to be uncomfortable wearing shoes just yet so they've gotten him slippers to wear around the office.
Panel 3: Said slippers bear an uncanny similarity to Big Bird.
Panel 4: Since Big Nerd thinks that he's been insulted, his thanks are somewhat less enthusiastic than is proper.
Summary: If you think this is bad, wait until tomorrow's exercise in self-pity. Anyhow, the dullard deserves it for assuming that Jean is his servant girl, don't you think?
