We end the week with Mike and Lizzie evilly exploiting John's debilitated state in order to stay awake longer than John was allowed to back in the Fatuous Fifties so that Lynn can tell Aaron that the reason he lies awake in bed for hours is because he loves chaos and hates her and so on and so forth.
(Strip Number 804, Original Publication Date, 16 February 1985)
Panel 1: We find Mike and Lizzie playing Chutes and Ladders when they should be getting ready for bed. Mike tells her to get back to her room because that clomping noise means that Daddy's coming.
Panel 2: He first tucks Mike in.
Panel 3: And follows by tucking in Lizzie.
Panel 4: As they go back to playing their game, Mike wonders how much longer they'll have before John's cast is removed.
Summary: Since this is the second strip in the "John gets his cast taken off" arc, not very long. They'll be back to staring at the ceiling wondering if Mommy and Daddy are trying to get rid of them when they're not even sleepy in no time. Also, we can expect Lynn to huff and puff about how Aaron claimed that he couldn't go to sleep on command when it was clear to her that if he really did love her, he'd fall asleep quicker.
