(Strip Number 795, Original Publication Date, 4 February 1985)
Panel 1: As our story continues, we find Elly trying to deal with a frightened Richard. When Lizzie asks why the baby is crying, Mommy says that maybe he's tired.
Panel 2: He could also miss Annie, be teething or have an upset stomach.
Panel 3: Her attempt to explain what's wrong is interrupted by a particularly loud yowl of fear and anger.
Panel 4: Elly reveals her true colors when she goes all goggle-eyed and frowny as she thought-bubbles that Richard is probably out to get her.
Summary: You'd have to be fairly stupid and paranoid to assume that a toddler wants to destroy you because he hates you. Sadly, Elly is ignorant and dumb enough to never realize that it was never personal and vain enough to assume that she's the center of the universe so we're in for years of her being a bleary-eyed wreck who thinks her kids hate her because they willfully refuse to act like the tiny adults she thinks they are.
