(Strip Number 787, Original Publication Date, 19 January 1985)
Panel 1: As Mike practices in the living room, we find Georgia and Elly in the kitchen. Elly tells Geo that she's glad that Mike is taking an interest in music. (Showing this gladness, sadly, is something Elly is unwilling to do owing to her stupid, counterproductive and sadly nearly universal belief that the least bit of praise, empathy or encouragement will make Mike spoiled.)
Panel 2: Georgia reminds us that an interest in music helps develop someone's personality.
Panel 3: She then talks about how Elly was encouraged to take accordion lessons.
Panel 4: Elly says that this is because her mother thought it would increase her bustline.
Summary: I should think that the Lynnsight will be all about how stupid Lynn didn't get it through her stupid head that her stupid mother had her tongue so far in her cheek, it came out of her sphincter. Also, there should be no hint that emulating failed and discredited parenting methods in the belief she can make them work is an unuusually stupid non-starter.
