Panel 1: We start things off with a delighted Michael playing with the magnifying glass that Elizabeth got for Christmas and telling her how super-special awesmazing it is.
Panel 2: He is amazed at all of the little knobs he can see on Elizabeth's tongue. He thinks it's ever neat because there's millions of them.
Panel 3: This leads him to commit what Lynn thinks of as being a clear and malicious act of defiance, treachery, disrespect and totally not an innocent foul-up because that would mean that John and/or Elly are horrible people who overreact to nothing: telling Lizzie to show Mom all the neat little knob things on her tongue.
Panel 4: Since Lizzie suffers from "being four years old" and "not really understanding directions that well", what she does do is stick her tongue out at Elly. Since we're dealing with a paranoid ass-wad who spent so much time thinking that her children were out to destroy her that that became the case, Elly's reaction is to go full-on bitch-face and yell "Michael! Did you put her up to this?!!"
Summary: The interesting thing about this is that the description has Steph say that Michael is to blame for the show of 'disrespect.' It's just like how his attempt to demonstrate suction HAD to be bad because his moron mother couldn't understand what he was doing and immediately assumed the worst. It's also like how Lizzie had to have spilled the milk Sunday because she 'hated' the idea of Elly having free time or how April willed herself into existing because she hated the idea of Elly having a role in life that isn't 'useless housewife.' Or how.....
