For some reason, we find Mike and Lizzie scrounging around the wreckage of last night's party; the first part of this arc has Lynn make a rather obvious comment about how liquor is unhealthy for children and other living things.
(Strip Number 4460, Original Publication Date, 1 January 1985)
Panel 1: It's the morning after the party. While Lizzie wants to remind Mike that Mommy and Daddy are still sleeping, Mike is more interested in the mess they left behind them.
Panel 2: He notices that some people even forgot to finish their drinks.
Panel 3: As Mike toasts Lizzie, she tells him to take the first sip to see what it's like.
Panel 4: As Mike stands there looking as if he'd been gutpunched, Lizzie asks if the booze is that good.
Summary: We're probably going to ring in the New Year with Lynn's STOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPID childhood.
