The single-panel Christmas dinner strip has Lizzie feed Farley part of her turkey just because it's Christmas.

(Strip Number 4458, 25 December 1984)

Panel 1: We find ourselves looking at a scene from the Pattersons' Christmas Dinner. As John says grace (For what we are about to receive, may the Lord make us truly grateful), we find that Elly, Mike, Phil, Ted, Georgia, Mrs Baird, Connie and Lawrence are bowing their heads in prayer while Lizzie is feeding Farley a turkey leg.

Summary: The 'joke' is that Farley is probably the only one who is truly thankful for anything today. Everyone else is distracted by some other concern. Also, I should think that this one went on a looooooooooooooot of fridges and bulletin boards.
