Panel 1: As our story continues, we find ourselves in the living room as Mike puts his jacket and school books down. Having noticed that he's in a bad mood, Elly asks what's wrong only to be told that his whole class had detention.
Panel 2: He goes onto to complain about how unfair it is that the whole class had detention for no reason.
Panel 3: He claims they weren't doing anything but admits that one person did burp and another threw a spitball and...
Panel 4: As Mike continues to complain, Elly rolls her eyes and thought-bubbles that she knew there was another side to the story.
Summary: This sort of thing is yet another annoying reminder that Lynn really wasn't a part of her kids lives owing to the fact that if she were, she'd have Mike talk about how the bus kids were the worst offenders because they could get away with more. What we're probably going to do today is absorb yet another episode of the Little Lynnie show wherein she rails away about not getting sympathy from her mother.
