(Strip Number 706, Original Publication Date, 14 August 1984)
Panel 1: As Phil sucks away mirthlessly at his inhaler, Georgia asks him what it's like.
Panel 2: He tells her that it feels like a stupid plastic cigarette.
Panel 3: She wonders if he is inhaling it wrong since it's supposed to work.
Panel 4: Phil sticks the thing in his ear and wonders if it would work any better that way.
Summary: Given that today's Lynnsight is the one about how the nicotine inhaler joined bubble gum in the hall of Alan's failed quit-smoking tactics, I'm sort of glad that we spend most of the rest of the month watching Elly's family not validate her victimhood and vexation. This way, we'll be spared watching Phil desperately licking a nicotine patch.
