Panel 1:: As our story continues, we find Jim sitting on a bench at a local mall. As he dates himself by lighting up in a shopping mall, Marian walks over and asks what's taking Michael so long.
Panel 2: He tells Grandma Marian that Michael is out buying gifts for the family back home.
Panel 3: Marian thinks that's a sweet gesture but wonders if Mike had help thinking of it.
Panel 4: Jim says it was Mike's own idea but he's not using his own money.
Summary: Lynn is clearly trying to gain sympathy from tight-fisted idiots who don't get that children would be more generous if they had more money.
