In today's strip, Elly can't quite wrap her tiny, tiny brain around the fact that Lizzie repeats the same question for a reason that should be obvious to anyone with an IQ greater than that of spore mold.

(Strip Number 672, Original Publication Date, 3 August 1984)

Pane1 1: We find ourselves watching Elly tuck Lizzie into bed. Lizzie asks when Michael is coming home; Elly says in a couple of days.

Panel 2: When Lizzie asks this question again, Elly says "Soon."

Panel 3: Elly then asks Lizzie why she keeps asking this question.

Panel 4: A glum Lizzie thought-bubbles that it just isn't the same without him.

Summary: There's another reason she keeps asking: Elly never really gives her a straight answer nor does Mommy want to see that she's not the only one worried about Mike.
