deckardcaine, who was not with us at the time, wanted to know what explanation we came up with for why Mike told Merrie that Deanna was giving "chocolate". But there weren't many people here at the time, so the only theory posited was this, from an anonymous contributor: "Hee, maybe because he didn't think abruptly weaning her the moment her first tooth appeared at age six months was the nicest thing to do. (At least this was what Deanna told us in the March letter--this seemed like a retcon though.)"
Anyone wanna have at it now? All I can think of is, Merrie might have asked if cows gave chocolate milk, and since Mike basically regards Deanna as a cow, he made a leap of logic. ???
