(Strip Number 645, Original Publication Date, 2 July 1984)
Panel 1: Michael tells Lawrence and Gordon that he cannot go out to play because he has to practice his trumpet.
Panel 2: He complains that he is wasting a perfectly good hour playing.
Panel 3: Elly rolls her stupid eyes because he yells that she hates him and only wants to see him suffer.
Panel 4: He claims that if he learns how to play it will be her fault.
Summary: The reason that Elly is rolling her eyes in irritation when Mike says this is that she never really stopped to look at things from HIS point of view. Said point of view involves looking at a mother who, if today's notes are any sort of indication, is at the hospital after having sprained herself patting herself on the back for giving him the gift of literature.
