(Strip Number 642, Original Publication Date, 28 June 1984)
Panel 1: We find ourselves watching Elly and a rather slobby looking Mike walking downtown; Elly tells him that before he goes, she wants him to find some nice travelling clothes.
Panel 2: She then says that she does not want Mike coming off the plane looking like that because she doesn't want Marian to think that she doesn't do ten loads of laundry a day.
Panel 3: After this, he'll look like a tidy young gentleman for once.
Panel 4: Michael wonders how they will know it's him.
Summary: In her defense, she does have something of a point about his clothes. She already knows that her mother thinks that she's incompetent so wants to at least look like she cares about his appearance.
