(Strip Number 630, Original Publication Date, 12 June 1984)
Panel 1: We start things off with Elly telling Lizzie that she's made something of a mess eating her lunch. Lizzie says that she did no such thing.
Panel 2: Elly points to the floor and asks her what she calls that mess.
Panel 3: When Lizzie offers to call it "leftunders", Elly's face freezes in the Goggle-Eyed Frown of Existential Horror™.
Summary: If there are thoughts for today, they won't be about what I really want explained: why Elly reacts to children making puns or otherwise playing with the language with such horror. It seems that when a Patterson or Richards turns twenty, he or she totally freaks out when children say things like 'stousins' or 'leftunders'.
