Panel 1: Now that Elly's back home, she is confused and angered by the fact that Mike is much how she left him: sitting in a pile of toys. She expresses her displeasure by reminding him that he was supposed to have put all his toys away while she and John were out.
Panel 2: She then asks him why he didn't do a darned thing.
Panel 3: His comment about how she wasn't gone long enough leaves her gobsmacked.
Summary: Sadly, the notes are going to be all about how Aaron disappointed Lynn by wasting his time playing and wanting attention instead of quietly cleaning or some such drivel. Ah, well. At least the commonality of not understanding children at all well makes them relevant. As an example, Elly seems to have gone into this with the assumption "HUM!! It would take me an hour to clean up all of these toys the way Mom would....but since I'm in a hurry, I'll assume that a small child can do it much faster simply because I'd like that to happen. Also, if he can't, it's not because I asked him to do the impossible, it's because he's an evil, chaos-loving mother who hates to see me happy."
