(Strip Number 568, Original Publication Date, 10 March 1984)
Panel 1: A few seconds after she stifled her giggles, Elly gets serious and, as she continues to towel Lizzie off, reminds herself that they have to start correcting her pronunciation.
Panel 2: As she puts the girl's nightgown on, Elly reminds us that Lizzie uses too much baby talk and is old enough to speak properly.
Panel 3: Elly simply cannot understand why it is that Lizzie isn't picking up proper English.
Panel 4: Elly then smiles and tells Liz "Now Nizzie tum sit on Momma's wap an'we brussa hair!!"
Summary: HUM!! Could it possibly be that Elly's behaviour might get in the way of getting what she wants? Given that this is back when Elly was allowed to have flaws, I believe so. After the move was completed, however, Elly became perfect.
