In today's strip, Elly responds to her aerobics instructor's statement that she isn't putting enough into the exercises for her belly with disbelief; after all, she has more than enough tummy to go round, eh?

(Strip Number 4416, Original Publication Date, 28 February 1984)

Panel 1: We find ourselves at the aerobics class watching the instructor tell her class "Leg raises; one and two to the music!!"

Panel 2: Having noticed that Elly is struggling, the drill sergeant in the red leotard tells her that the exercise is for her tummy and that she's not putting enough into it.

Panel 3: Elly looks at the ample gut brought on by childbirth and not by her manic and obsessive need to clean plates lest Marian spank her.

Panel 4: She then tells the woman that she has to be kidding. This is meant to be hilarious because of an allegedly-comic contrast between the instructor thinking she's not putting enough effort into her abdominal exercises and Elly thinking that she's putting a lot of FOOD into her stomach.

Summary: We can probably expect a Lynnsight about either the awful woman in Lynn Lake who didn't let the exercise group devolve into an excuse to drink coffee or an evil PE teacher who expected Lynn to work up a sweat.
