Panel 1: We start things off with Elly calling Farley to come to her.
Panel 2: Having done so, Elly hugs him and tells him he's a good doggie.
Panel 3: Despite how enthusiastic Elly when she gushingly tells Good Boy Farley that he's needed a baff for the longest time, he ain't thrilled.
Panel 4: Having it explained that he's being dried to keep warm fails to reassure Farley.
Panel 5: It would seem that Farley doesn't actually like brushing a doggie's coat when it's his.
Panel 6: Farley doesn't much like being sprayed with a little perfumy no matter how sweet he ends up smelling.
Panel 7: Elly tells Farley that Mommy's little bow has a cute little bow in his hair so his little eyes can see.
Panel 8: Having noticed all of this, John smiles as he tells Elly that it seems to him as if the kids are growing up too fast.
Summary: This is a pleasant enough thing that would have inspired commentary from the Diane Siracusas of the world back when there was such a thing as Coffee Talk. It's also something that'll be ruined by the notes.
