(Strip Number 7151, Original Publication Date, 22 January 1984)
Panel 1: We start things off with Mike, who's in his winter jacket, standing at the door and yelling to Elly that he'd brought a few friends over to see his new video games.
Panel 2: Since we're supposed to be seeing the world through Elly's eyes in this panel, we're probably supposed to share her horror that a few means seven. We have Mike, Gordo, Janice, Lawrence and three other kids.
Panel 3: A little while later, John comes home to find Elly still in her curlers and robe sitting in her chair drinking coffee and thanking him sarcastically when he inquires after her health.
Panel 4: It seems that her day started when his new sander arrived. After that, Phil and Georgia stopped by for coffee.
Panel 5: Next, three kids from the hockey team showed up selling chocolates.
Panel 6: After they came and went, Anne came over with a new neighbor from down the street.
Panel 7: She concludes by saying that Mike and his friends are still in the rec room.
Panel 8: She asks why in the world did everyone have to show up on this particular day.
Panel 9: John asks her what's so special about this one day.
Panel 10: She tells him that it's the day that she decided to not get dressed.
Summary: We can probably expect a Lynnsight about how "we women" (or gals) aren't allowed to relax like everyone else. Also, we can expect her to think that if she'd gotten dressed like normal, none of this would have happened.
