Today's rather bland slice of life strip has as its premise that children are always chaotic evil and live to bust their parents' asses because that's what they do. The form Lynn's anti-childhood belief system takes today is that Mike and Liz fill the walkway John just shoveled with new snow because children are evil and hate to see their parents happy.

(Strip Number 6125, Original Publication Date, 15 January 1984)

Panel 1: We start with John looking out the picture window as it snows.

Panel 2: He sighs as he laces up his winter boots.

Panel 3: We see him at the sidewalk looking at the snow covering his front lawn.

Panel 4: He starts to shovel a pathway.

Panel 5: He continues to shovel a pathway.

Panel 6: Having finished, he thought-bubbles AAAAAHHHH in satisfaction.

Panel 7: Mike and Lizzie go out to play in the snow.

Panel 8: Since they're evil little monsters who are ungrateful and evil and hate their parents, they start to play in the snow. Lizzie rolls in the snowbank and Mike clears out a hollow in the snow.

Panel 9: They then just dump snow over one another.

Panel 10: John gazes in horror at the result of letting his chaos-loving children play: the walkway is filled up with snow again.

Summary: A less up-one's-ass parent would go "Oh, WELL!!! I don't like what they did but they didn't do it because they hate me" Lynn and what used to be Kool-Aid Nation are very up their ass so would hope for a Panel 11 in which Mike and Lizzie get spanked or waterboarded or beheaded or something.

Also, we have to deal with the fact that (as howtheduck shows us) Lynn lifted this off a better artist.
