(Strip Number 4391, Original Publication Date, 2 December 1983)
Panel 1: A visibly angered Elly tells John that she simply cannot watch the man she thinks is Fred with that woman. The awkward pause between those last two words is based on Elly's fear that if she calls the lady in the black dress what she wants to call her, Marian will materialize out of the ether and scrub her mouth out with Lava soap for using that kind of language.
Panel 2: John agrees that Elly is absolutely right.
Panel 3: The problem is that he doesn't agree with her plan to flee; he simply wants to switch tables so they can get a better look.
Summary: I don't know what makes her worse: her deciding to make the man squirm or her wanting to run away in terror. All I know is that she's ruining her evening by not minding her own business.
