Panel 1: Since John is too stupid to ask himself the question "Is that actually Fred or is the woman I married jumping to yet another baseless conclusion?", he angers Elly by wondering where good ol'Fred finds girls like the one Not-Fred is with.
Panel 2: Elly tells John to just look at the dress Brazen J Hussy is almost wearing.
Panel 3: She then goes on to grouse about how shameful she finds it that the woman is wearing something that leaves nothing to the imagination.
Panel 4: John further angers Elly by contradicting her because it leaves a lot to the imagination.
Summary: Suffice to say John's imagination would probably be rated NC-17. Also suffice to say that this not really being smart enough to ask himself if Elly has her facts straight is what led him to loom over the Martian Princess and demand that she apologize after the "I quit motherhood" incident; as it will be then, his refusal to admit that Elly doesn't know what she's talking about makes him as stupid as she is.
