The last part of the Luggsworth saga ends with Gordon and Lawrence wondering how they're supposed to entertain themselves now that Brad isn't going to beat Mike up any longer.

(Strip Number 509, Original Publication Date, 26 November 1983)

Panel 1: A jubilant Mike tells Gordon and Lawrence that he was nice to sitcom bully Brad and now he's not going to get beaten up any more.

Panel 2: As they put on their jackets for the bus ride home, Mike tells them that he no longer has to deal with being chased, fighting or hiding on his way home from school.

Panel 3: He finished off by saying that he can hang around like everyone else. Gordon and Lawrence agree that that's a sort of nice thing.

Panel 4: Gordo's problem is that he no longer knows what he and Lawrence are going to do for excitement.

Summary: First off, I'd like to restate my objection to referring to these two as Mike's friends; second, I'd like to point out that sooner or later, someone else ends up looking foolish.
