We come to the home stretch of this unrealistic story line by having Brad follow the career path of Lumpy Rutherford by accepting Mike's friendship. Too bad that life isn't a television show.

(Strip Number 508, Original Publication Date, 25 November 1983)

Panel 1: We start with Mike haltingly trying to get Brad's attention which causes the larger boy to ask what he wants.

Panel 2: Mike stammers out a request to be friends instead of fighting all the time.

Panel 3: Since Brad is a sitcom character instead of a real bully, he accepts said offer.

Panel 4: This causes another boy to point out that since Mike fainted, Brad's locker must be fairly ripe.

Summary: As others have said, this scenario would only take place if we were about to hear the outro music and watch the car, bank and Charmin ads; in real life, Mike would have ended up stuffed in Brad's locker.
