We begin the Brad Luggsworth arc in earnest as Mike witlessly flicks his eraser at the boy's head because he falsely believes that Miss Williams isn't paying any attention to him. Tomorrow, Brad promises to test Mike's resistance to a punch in the snoot.

(Strip Number 498, Original Publication Date, 14 November 1983)

Panel 1: We start with Mike thought-bubbling that he's had his hand up for every answer but Miss Williams (her name was thoughtfully provided for us in Brad's Liography) never asks him.

Panel 2: As he FLICKS! his eraser at Brad, he bets himself that she doesn't see him; he thus might as well be invisible.

Panel 3: Sadly for him, she DOES see him and tells him so by name. She also sees him WHAP! Brad on the head with the blistering thing.

Panel 4: As Brad stares at him in something approaching blind rage, Mike sheepishly states that he's just testing.

Summary: What Brad's Liography also tells us is that the angry boy with the need to pulverise Mike "Nerdhead" Patterson doesn't know and never finds out is why he did it. We end up having him avenging what he perceives to be a rich kid being a jerk to him.
