In today's strip, Lizzie forgets how heavy she is again; this is somehow interpreted as her wanting to be carried around like a princess or something.

(Strip Number 489, Original Publication Date, 31 October 1983)

Panel 1: We start things off with Mike in costume ready to go out; Elly tells him that he can't go trick or treating until he's had some of whatever she's disguising.

Panel 2: She then notices that Lizzie is still wearing a pair of her shoes and tells her that she cannot wear them because she cannot walk in them.

Panel 3: Lizzie says that she knows this.

Panel 4: She then says Daddy can carry her; Daddy looks even more rattled than he did when Elly called him a nutcase.

Summary: This, of course, is because they don't realize that Lizzie has no proper idea of how much she weighs. Why do you think she never understood why Elly didn't want to carry her, eh?
