(Strip Number 483, Original Publication Date, 17 October 1983)
Panel 1: We start things off with Elly asking Lizzie if she wants to finish the cupcake icing that she has in the bowl she's holding. Lizzie is clearly delighted at the idea.
Panel 2: After noticing that she can't get it all with the plastic spoon she had, Lizzie licks the frosting out of the bowl like your average, every-day three year old kid is going to.
Panel 3: Lizzie, whose face is covered in pink icing, gives a horrified Elly the bowl back and tells her that she doesn't even have to clean it.
Summary: I know that a lot of you are going to say that this would work better were Elly to have smiled ruefully or knowingly at this instead of gaping in horror at something she clearly didn't see coming. I think so too but I know that Lynn doesn't. She has Elly stand around horrified and baffled by the commonplace for a reason. That reason is that she doesn't understand children and doesn't want to.
