Something I found on the web that I think matters.

The oddest thing happened a little while ago while I was watching the news; you see, there's a public service announcement here in Canada called "It's a girl" that handles the whole subject of the Coming-after way better than Lynn could. We start out benignly enough bearing witness to a baby shower. Things are going pleasantly enough when the new mother opens up a present to find a whistle. She's puzzled for a second when the donor of the gift explains "It's a rape whistle." This is followed by an on-screen caption explaining that one in two women in Canada will be either physically or sexually abused at some point in their lives and then the logo of the sponsoring organization, the Canadian Women's Foundation. I don't know about you but when it comes to serious topics like sexual assault, a punch to the gut like this is a lot better than Lynn's meek tap on the shoulder.
