(Strip Number 4370, Original Publication Date, 23 September 1983)
Panel 1: We start out with Elly sitting in front of a mirror wondering why she cannot start to a diet and stick to it.
Panel 2: She goes on to thought-bubble that this latest attempt to shed the imaginary ten excess pounds that she's conned herself into thinking are making her fat and ugly only lasted three days. It's as if there's a little voice telling her to EAT!
Panel 3: We get to see who the little voice belongs to: it's Lizzie and she can't finish her ice cream cone.
Summary: This, my friends, is called "passing the buck"; it is no more fault that Lizzie can't eat and eat and eat just so Elly doesn't have to see a plate with food on it any more than it is that it's her fault that Elly is trying to make sure that the kids are too stuffed to cause CHAOS!!!
