(Strip Number 471, Original Publication Date, 21 September 1983)
Panel 1: We find ourselves with a dejected Lizzie looking at Mike, John and Elly playing with Farley thought-bubbling that nobody's playing with her.
Panel 2: She reminds herself that everyone's playing with Farley and talking to him and hugging him.
Panel 3: She then reminds us that she's a small child by concluding that they like him best because he's sick.
Panel 4: She thus decides to solve the problem by telling Daddy that she doesn't feel well.
Summary: Well, small children do tend to think that love is like a pie or anything else finite. If someone else is getting love and Lizzie isn't, it must mean that that person or animal is taking something away from her. This only becomes depressing when you realize that she never really out-grew thinking like this.
