In today's strip, the vet keeps Farley for observation overnight which leads to Mike putting one of his squeaky toys in his cage.

(Strip Number 467, Original Publication Date, 15 September 1983)

Panel 1: We find ourselves at the veterinary clinic as the veterinarian tells Elly and Mike that there could be any number of things wrong with Farley. He goes on to say that he's dehydrated and in a lot of pain.

Panel 2: He then says that he's going to put Farley on medication and keep him overnight for observation.

Panel 3: As the vet puts Farley in a cage, Mike tells him "Here, boy....I brought you your squeaky toy."

Panel 4: As they leave the clinic, Mike tells Elly that he wouldn't want to be in hospital without his teddy.

Summary: This is a reasonably sweet little strip and there's not much that could ruin it (aside, of course, its being the result of these people's stupidity) that isn't a Lynnsight.
