In today's strip, we are confronted with yet another of Lynn's 'truths'; that's because it doesn't take a genius to see that John's declaration that beans and wieners are the only thing that he can cook despite the fact that Elly has a list of instructions for him that an idiot could follow will have a note explaining that men cannot cook the simplest of things attached to it.

(Strip Number 460, Original Publication Date, 7 September 1983)

Panel 1: We start things off with Mike telling John that the list he's holding is from Elly; said list contains cooking instructions for meals Elly prepared for them beforehand.

Panel 2: He then asks why John is making hot dogs and baked beans anyway.

Panel 3: John says that he and beans understand each other.

Summary: You can just tell that Rod's ability as a cook is going to get slammed, can't you?
