Today's strip is one which we discussed recently owing to Lynn whining about getting angry commentary from people who wouldn't 'get a life'; that's because it's the one where John yanks the blanket that Mike is changing underneath away from him just seconds BEFORE he puts his swimming trunks on.

(Strip Number 7142, Original Publication Date, 4 September 1983)

Panel 1: We start things off watching Mike at a local beach looking at some sort of building in the distance.

Panel 2: Since said building is fairly far from where everyone else is and since Mike is sort of nervous about who sees his private parts, he tells a probably-uncomprehending Elly that he doesn't want to walk all the way to the changing house.

Panel 3: As Elly spreads out one of the two blankets they brought with them, she and the others look at Mike as he declares that he's going to change into his bathing suit all the way over where he is under the other blanket.

Panel 4: He noisily declares that he's changing and that no one can see him.

Panel 5: He continues on by saying that nobody can look under the blanket because he's changing.

Panel 6: He tells them that he's got no clothes on so don't even THINK about looking at him.

Panel 7: As he tells them to not look because he's just about to put his swimsuit on, John sneaks up behind him.

Panel 8: John yanks the blanket away from Mike and reveals the boy to have his trunks down around his ankles. Mike's reaction is to yell in panic. My reaction is to hope that when cartoon characters die, they go to Hell for their sins.

Panel 9: As a furious Mike pulls his suit up, John tells a gobsmacked Elly that he hated to disappoint him.

Summary: Lynn's notes are all about how people get all worked up over the nothing that is John's not-really-shocking-because-he's-never-shown-regard-like-that-in-the-first-place disregard for whatever Mike might feel about being caught pretty much naked. She goes on to rant that in the strip playing in her head that no one else gets to see, John somehow made it up to the boy but since she forgets that we can't see into her brain, she's stuck dealing with complaints that make her go "HUM!!! John apologized so why do I have to read all of these complaints about his being a bad father?"

Panel One: Pretty straightforward. Hard to snark Balding Teacher very much. April and Silhouette are the only students, but otherwise, this is just…

Placeholder. All I have to say is, we already HAD an April's-overloaded-backpack gag. And in panel 2, both she and that other girl look very odd.
