(Strip Number 4358, Original Publication Date, 9 August 1983)
Panel 1: We start things off with Elly's silhouette overhearing a conversation between Laura and Mike. Laura tells him that she doesn't have to like him just because they're related and he's about to call her just a something or other.
Panel 2: We never find out what that something is because Elly tells them that they won't have to put up with each other any more.
Panel 3: She then does her patented 'Drop a bombshell and walk away from a child with her eyes closed' maneuver as she tells them that she and the rest of the Pattersons are leaving tomorrow.
Panel 4: Since the two of them love to hate one another, the idea of being separated drives them to tears.
Summary: It doesn't take too much brain-power to realize that we're staring down the barrel of a Lynnsight something like this: "HUM!!! Children always fight when they're together but miss each other when they're apart. It's the truth. It happens. Time for grub and suds!" Does it matter that we never saw them fight before this? Nope. In the strip in Lynn's head, Mike and Laura hated one another on sight and we're supposed to know it.
