In today's strip, we have the first example of the Pattersons' incompatibility with riding horses. To be specific, Mike thinks that he'll be instantly good at riding a mare without taking lessons from Bev; he's wrong and gets humiliated.

(Strip Number 4357, Original Publication Date, 8 August 1983)

Panel 1: We start things off with Mike telling Elly that he can ride a horse.

Panel 2: He then says that Bev offered to teach him but he already knows how.

Panel 3: As Mike starts to ride off, Bev tells Elly "Right! He jumps on the horse's back...."

Panel 4: "....and the horse does whatever she pleases." It would seem that what pleases her is eating, not carrying a dumb-ass kid whose yams seem to have hit the pommel of the saddle when the mare stopped short.

Summary: I have no idea what the Lynnsight will be. All I do know is that the Pattersons are all of them far dumber than horses. Given that real-life horses are fairly stupid, that says something not good about the Foobs.
