We end the week on a sort of a sweet note when Danny is mildly shocked to realize that Bev puts up with the hardship of being an inept farmer because she loves him.

(Strip Number 4356, Original Publication Date, 6 August 1983)

Panel 1: We find ourselves watching John, Danny and Bev taking in the sunset. As they do so, John tells Danny that the life he chose is not an easy one owing to his working from the first light to the least glimmering of dusk.

Panel 2: Danny agrees with him but says that after a while, farming gets in your blood and you sort of fall in love with it.

Panel 3: John asks Bev if she too has fallen in love with farming.

Panel 4: She replies by saying that she fell in love with Danny. This astonishes him.

Summary: I guess the reason he's mildly shocked is that he sort of expected her to love farming as much as he does. Ah, well. Most of Lynn's fans won't notice. They'll be too busy gushing about how sweet this is.
