As she and the family head to the airport, Connie reassures Elly that the house will be safe under her and Ted's care. She then makes a bad joke that spooks a literal-minded doughhead in a ponytail.

(Strip Number 4342, Original Publication Date, 4 July 1983)

Panel 1: We find ourselves in the Pattersons' driveway; as Elly hands her the keys to the Pattermanse, Connie tells her to not worry because she and Ted will look after the house while they're away.

Panel 2: It's no trouble at all; they'll water the plants, pick up the mail and check the doors.

Panel 3: She then trolls Elly by saying that if they decide to throw a wild party, they'll do it at her place.

Summary: You would think that walk the dog would be there, wouldn't you? You'd also think that Ted would just house sit like he did two years ago. That would make sense and be convenient....thereby making it impossible.
